In this new issue of the HESTIA newsletter, you will find summaries of the contributions made by the project partners at the 2024 editions of the ASME Turbo Expo, International Symposium on Combustion, and other international events.

From 8 to 10 October, HESTIA partners met for the project's second General Assembly meeting.

In October, Guillaume Fournier (Safran) attended the European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) Conference to present the progress of- the HESTIA project.

The HESTIA project was well represented at the 40th International Symposium on combustion, held in Milan from 21 to 26 July 2024.

Many HESTIA partners came together at the ASME Turbo Expo conference, which was held in London from 24 to 28 June.

HESTIA participated in a public session organised by the ClimAvTech cluster at ILA Berlin.

Things are heating up, carbon free! In this newsletter, we are celebrating the first 18 months of the project and the delivery of the first technical results.

The CORIA Research Laboratory at the INSA Rouen Normandie School of Engineering (France) recently hosted HESTIA’s first General Assembly meeting. It was an opportunity for the partners to visit the CORIA facilities and to discover the test rigs that will be used within HESTIA - SIRIUS and NoRIUS - under the guidance of Professor Grisch.

• Progress updates on flame dynamics; development of hydrogen strut injection systems; and characterisation and optimisation of H2 injection systems under representative aircraft configurations

The kick-off meeting of the HESTIA project took place on the 29-30 September 2022 at the Safran Tech premises.
