General Assembly at University of Florence

From 8 to 10 October, HESTIA partners met for the project's second General Assembly meeting. They discussed project progress and took a tour of UniFi's Heat Transfer and Combustion Lab (THT Lab). The partners reviewed the project status and had the opportunity to present what they are currently working on, all while enjoying the local hospitality. The discussions were interesting and informative between the 23 project partners and the lab tour gave us an opportunity to see the Florence combustion rig used in HESTIA along with the rigs used to look at heat transfer in turbine blades. We also had the chance to visit the lab next door that works on hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen internal combustion engines and centrifugal compressors.
